The Basic Tune-up
The standard cost for a basic tune up is $25. ($15 for non-geared bikes) If there is more wrong with the bike than is typically included in a tune-up, we will contact you before doing any work beyond the $25 worth. Often we will be able to see these problems when you drop the bike off and let you know in advance. Please let your mechanic know of any particular areas of concern. It should also be noted that if you purchase a bike from us the bike will come with two free tune-ups.

What's Included:
Adjust Shifting Front and Rear Shifting is adjusted to be as accurate as possible given the current parts.
Adjust Brakes Front and Rear Break pads will be checked for wear, and the breaks will be adjusted to make sure that they provide adequate stoping power.
True wheels Front and rear This is a quick once over truing to make sure that the wheel is reasonable round and true. Keep in mind that it is not always possible to bring damaged wheels back to true, and even if you do get them back they may be prone to coming out of true again. Wheels that need a lot of work may cost extra. The truing included in this tuneup is designed to take care of small wobbles and dips, not tacoed wheels.
Lube Chain We will give your chain a light cleaning and relubricate it. We will use a light chain oil such as Tri-Flow. If you are using a wax or other based lubricant on your chain and would prefer that we skip this step, just let us know.
Headset and Hub Adjustment The bikes headset and hubs will be checked and ajusted if needed. Note that this is only a simple adjustment not an overhaul.
Check Tire pressure We will check the tire pressure and make sure it is adequate for the intended use of the bike.
The once overThe mechanic will give the bike a once over and recomend any parts that he recomends need replacing or additional repairs that need to be done. He will also check the tightness of some of the bolts that commonly loosen up on a bike over time.
